It depends on the water body: Cedar Creek Lake and Richland-Chambers Reservoir are Tarrant Regional Water District, Lake Athens is the Athens Municipal Water Authority, Lake Palestine is the Upper Neches River Municipal Water Authority, Lake Tyler is the City of Tyler, and Lake Jacksonville is the City of Jacksonville. Each has its own permit requirements, setbacks, and approval steps. We handle the applications and agency coordination as part of the contract, so you deal with us and we deal with whichever authority your lake falls under.

Very likely yes. Henderson County is home base, but we work the surrounding East Texas counties, including Anderson, Cherokee, Smith, Navarro, Van Zandt, and Kaufman, and a large share of our work is on private lakes, ranch tanks, and neighborhood impoundments rather than the big public reservoirs. We mobilize either land-based or barge-based depending on how your site is reached, since some lots have a clear path for trucks and equipment while others are only practical to work from the water. We assess access on the site visit and choose the approach that gets the job done without tearing up your property, then we spell out the mobilization plan and any cost in the quote. Access is one of the biggest hidden drivers of waterfront pricing, so we'd rather price it accurately than discover it mid-job.

It won't surprise you, because we spell out travel and mobilization in the quote before you sign, not after. For most jobs inside our primary service area there's no added travel charge, and very remote sites may carry a mobilization fee that covers transporting equipment and, when needed, crew lodging. We itemize it so you can compare our quote against another contractor's apples-to-apples instead of finding a buried line item later.

Those projects often skip federal permitting, which can shorten the timeline, though an HOA or a dam may still bring its own requirements. Distance from the main reservoirs isn't a problem; we travel for the right project and price the access into the quote.
